Group A, the second time around

Portugal assured themselves a place in the final eight when they soundly defeated the Czech Republic 3-1. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal and assisted on the final tally for the Portugese. The victory puts them in first place in Group A with six points.

Turkey pulled of a stunner by defeating co-host Switzerland, 2-1, with the game winning goal scored in extra time. The Swiss were leading 1-0 at one point. It also spells the end of the road for them since they are 0-2 so far with one game to play.
